New Arrival

Well, we are all waiting anxiously for the new arrival of my sister's baby. Tommorrow is the big day for her and her husband. Our parents are up there to officially welcome her into our crazy family. My kids keep asking if she's in the hospital yet. Not realizing the time difference is only 1 hour. I just hope she knows life will never be the same. It will never be quiet when you want and or need quiet, and once Samy takes to walking, she'll never have a bathroom moment to herself until she moves out of the house. Just today, Jericho managed to sneak away twice, once to spill baby powder all over the bathroom floor and thoroughly through the hair, and the other to climb on the kitchen counter to spill the cinnamon buns. The joys of young ones, to be thankful though, the oldest is 15 and soon will be off to college, fingers crossed. And a whole new world will open up with that one. So here is wishing you luck sis, life will never be dull!

How a large family can leave you feeling neglected

Woe is Victor,

He is so sad that everyone commented to my blog and not his, especially since he conveniently linked it to mine. I just let him know he is the last man on the totem pole. It always went by seniority in our house. It's great to know that I can pass that tradition on to my kids. and in this house he'll still be left out. Any who, hope everyone finds many laughs in my blogs to come, especially when there at Victor's expense. LOL!

Stolen Thunder

In a large family, it can happen quite a bit. Hell, great minds often think alike. Encouraged by my wonderful, computer savvy nephew (who of course set all this up for me and I just type) told me that I could blogg on interesting topics or basically nothing at all and have fun at it, I was hooked. An then to my bubble bursting moment I open my e-mail and discover that my sister, a transplant to the boston area, has indeed stolen my thunder. How could she i first thought. Then I realized with her baby due in 1 1/2 weeks, she has nothing better to do but sit, wait, and blog. I'm sure we will get the detailed blog of how the ceaserean birth goes and how safely, the baby comes into the world. Why didn't i get my blogg introduced first, well has a seasoned mother of an extended combined family of 6 children and many other over nighters, I'm just too damn busy. Ok, I lied, she stole my thunder. But all I can say is congrats sis! Great minds think alike. Good Luck with Baby Samy, we are so excited for you and we are praying for a happy safe delivery and homecoming for your family to be. We will be sending plenty of hugs and kisses and a goody bag for the baby. Take care we miss ya'll and enjoy the heat. I sent it your way so you wouldn't forget about us in Texas. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Lena

crazy kids

Wow, just viewed my niece's my space. It's crazy all this new technology and how these kids think there still invisible. I hate to think that I've turned into my mother, but my reaction to this picture may possible verify that I have. My mother always said, "if you don't want anyone to know what you're doing, don't do it!" I just grew up by adding "just don't get caught". Then my 15 year old told me "if you get caught, it's not for you." You always hear people say that girls need to have more positive role models, well i think that's where parents come into play, so I guess i'll have to chat a smidge with my brother just to keep him up to par with things. And then i will have my niece's ass!
