Speaking or lack there of.........

Well, as you know, Jericho is now 18months, and a definite handfulllllllll. LOL! His speech has been slow to come but I think that may be because he has too many people to get him what he wants before he explodes. So everyone is a different version of Mama, Mamo, Nana, DaDa, Tata and Papo. It's hardest and funniest when we are at the high school campus of his oldest brother, and Jericho screams and the top of his lungs "DADA" and runs straight for his big brother. Who is quickly, loudly and efficiently to correct him with "brother, say brother". Needless to say his adorable when it comes to communicating, the baby that is, we all know the 15 year olds are selective in there communications. LOL, again. You can ask him if he wants certain things and he'll say ya or noh. He knows who is who and can point when you ask him, but anything more in depth than that is inaudible. A regular "Cave 'MAN'". Yes, it does start that young. Well, I must be off, my little cave man is attempting to ride the dog in the back yard. But don't worry, more bloggs to come in the "adventures of potty training"

Bump in the night, or just to early to get up in the a.m.

After waking at 7a.m. to potty, I heard an unusual noise coming from the baby monitor. It was a continuous tapping. It was very consistent in sound, a small tap and then a louder tap. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I decided to go out to investigate the noise. I came around into the kitchen and to my surprise (or not) I find my son, Jericho, sitting at the table with mans best friend on her hind legs, too at the table, and I am watching them taking turns hitting a container filled with mini cupcakes from the birthday party the evening before. When my son realized that they we be unsuccessful at there attempt to raid the counters he turns to me with his "angel" self, gives me "pretty eyes" and hands me the container. So as any mother would do at such an early hour, to teach him a lesson, I opened the container and handed him a cupcake and then coaxed him back to bed. 7o'clock was just a little too early to start discipline. It was one of those Kodak moments, but of course, I don't work all that well the digital camera. LOL!!

Yard Sale Fodder

It's amazing the "treasures" that can be found at yard sales. My neighbor was hosting one this weekend and we had a few things to sale, all but two items sold. She tends to over decorate her living abode, then is left with the dilemma of having to host a yard sale. But it's fun, we get to catch up on the neighborhood gossip. The weather was something to be desired, but us folks here in Texas are pretty much used to this kind of weather. That's about all for now, we'll continue tomorrow with the yard sale, and then the week will start all over again. Keep your fingers crossed that the mazda mx6 goes. I want it out of the driveway. The conquest is sold but hasn't been picked up yet. Chat at ya later!

Life came full circle

Hip Hip Hooray, they're back! We are so HAPPY! After 2 LLLLOOOONNNNGGGG years we finally have Eddie's children back in our lives. It is the best feeling. It was nothing short of a miracle, and very long over due. The day started slow with a few tears, but ended in a mean game a Phase 10 by 2a.m.(and for those losing the game, there were probably a few tears.) So now add two more at the dinner table, because hopefully we will be seeing more of them. LOL! So now we are officially Jeremy 15, Jordan 14, Jaron 11, Julianne 9, Janette, 7, and Jericho 16 months, and let's not forget our faithful dog Jazmine 8 months. So needless to say we'll be "BBQ-ing" soon to celebrate the occasion. The power of prayer is amazing, God is good, everyday!

The Animal Addition

Well, we have officially joined the ranks of many families and have an official pet. She is a 7 month old Bull Mastiff/Labrador, she black and her name is Jasmine. The people that had her named her Yasmine, but do to the abundance of "J" names in the family we changed it. The kids call her "Jazzy" for short. We will be taking her to obedience training she very well mannered but still needs some fine polishing. Who knows maybe Jericho will benefit from the training, he needs some polishing himself. We had a great 4th, we sent Eddie's Mom on an ultra-lite flight. She loved it! My anxiety to stop until we had the celebratory shot @her landing. Nothing like a little Patron to calm the nerves. We be spending some time later this week with Dad after Jules has six teeth pulled in preparation for braces. Hopefully we can get Jerm out of his before Jules' get put on. Some money saving will be nice. After all we do have to by dog food now. May the kids can share her food. Victor says he used to eat dog food when he was little and he turned out ok........................or did he? LOL....love ya vic!

New Arrival

Well, we are all waiting anxiously for the new arrival of my sister's baby. Tommorrow is the big day for her and her husband. Our parents are up there to officially welcome her into our crazy family. My kids keep asking if she's in the hospital yet. Not realizing the time difference is only 1 hour. I just hope she knows life will never be the same. It will never be quiet when you want and or need quiet, and once Samy takes to walking, she'll never have a bathroom moment to herself until she moves out of the house. Just today, Jericho managed to sneak away twice, once to spill baby powder all over the bathroom floor and thoroughly through the hair, and the other to climb on the kitchen counter to spill the cinnamon buns. The joys of young ones, to be thankful though, the oldest is 15 and soon will be off to college, fingers crossed. And a whole new world will open up with that one. So here is wishing you luck sis, life will never be dull!

How a large family can leave you feeling neglected

Woe is Victor,

He is so sad that everyone commented to my blog and not his, especially since he conveniently linked it to mine. I just let him know he is the last man on the totem pole. It always went by seniority in our house. It's great to know that I can pass that tradition on to my kids. and in this house he'll still be left out. Any who, hope everyone finds many laughs in my blogs to come, especially when there at Victor's expense. LOL!
